Program Manager - Plumbing/Gas Trades

Rate: £ 28 to £ 34 K (full-time (per year))

One of the UK's largest vocational training providers are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Program Manager - Electrical Trade to join their dynamic and expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:
The development of:
* Commercial quality
* Company wide resources used in the delivery of teaching and learning
* Standardisation of course content, delivery, schemes of work and lesson plans
* Planning and assisting in the delivery of curriculum update training to staff
* Lead all aspects of the Internal Verification / Moderation and assessment process

Job Role:
* The development of course materials across centres for all courses ensuring standardisation of delivery to learners
* Leadership of teams to support the production of content, detailed lesson plans, training aids, handouts, experimental activities and Schemes of Work
* Review the resources needed to deliver and improve training programmes including exploring opportunities to develop and incorporate new resources
* Monitor lesson delivery to ensure standardisation and the maintenance of high quality teaching
* Support the Head of Faculty in the identification and managemnt of poor quality teaching
* Act as a mentor for staff who need ability support
* Convene curriculum area meetings at each centre to review and foster curriculum improvements
* Lead the production of of course reviews and self assessment reports om all areas
* To ensure all course assessment and internal verification process meets the requirements of external certification

The Candidate:
* Qualified to HND or Degree level (or equivalent) in Building Services or Advanced Craft
* NVQ Level 3
* Assessor / Verifier Qualification (A1 or V1 award) is required
* Previous experience within the Construction Trades industry ideally specialising within electrical sector (minimum 15 years is desireable)
* WIll ideally have minimum of 5 years experience of working within the education sector
* Has the ability to successfully build relationships and can lead, develop, coach, mentor and develop people
* Proven ability to be a strong asset to the management team
* Emphasis on quality provision


This is a field based role for a program/project manager. You will ideally live near one of the main sites (Wakefield, Leeds; Guildford, Surrey; Weybridge; Southampton or Luton) You will be required to travel between these sites on a regular basis.
